Trying to Catch Up in Spain.... Manana

Friends, we've been pretty busy so -as pointed out- we haven't
gotten to post much to the blog.  We're even lame by lame standards.

We've been in Spain this semester, working on all sorts of crazy
projects.  However, here in Spain, the craziest project is just day to day life.

Yes, its the Border Patrol Bunny.

We installed the LAX piece looks (and sounds) fabulous.

Thanks to Dave and Laura for sending us off in style.

Here is where we are.  We live in La Nucia, a little town that is watched over by
"The Sleeping Lion"
That's what they call the mountain in the background and I have to admit,
that is exactly what it looks like.

Mama Elvira's 96th Birthday.

Matching shirts are sooooo cool.

Nine and Anna.

The rocky beach in Altea.

Wow, this "Safari" reserve is up VERY HIGH in
the hills.  It's one of those places where there are
still no rules.   It's like the old days, "don't step on that
giant anaconda! It might get mad!"

PARENTS, WATCH YOUR CHILDREN.

Well, okay, there was a rule about staying in your car
and keeping the windows closed around the Lions.

Nice restaurant up in the hills.  Gin and Tonics as big as your head
and beautiful, floor tiles.  And good food, though I have to
admit, I wasn't crazy about the pig foot.

Nine woke us up for this sunrise.  Our little house looks out
over Albir.  "Looks out" is kind of stretching it.  You can see the
mediterranean from the second floor balcony.

Halloween preparations.

Esther's brother, Luis and Marta.

This is me trying to finish our presentation for a conference
on the train to Madrid.  Included here for a reality check.

Nine has been collecting snails.  She transplanted a snail
from its broken shell to a new, empty one she found.
sigh. my hero.

Which brings us to the end.  This is a serious sale.
